May 1969 build 2500 automatic originally titled as 1970.

Purchased from original owner ~ October 1972, with 12,000 miles. Spun a rod bearing 6 days later; repaired at Ft. Wayne IN BMW dealer under special warranty.

Automatic died after rear-end hit; converted to 4-speed from wrecked coupe in Dec.1972.

Cracked cylinder head repaired at Manheim BMW, in PA.

Autocross 1st place in class, 3rd place overall, Oktoberfest 1973, Atlantic City. Daily driver until 12/1978, 98,000 miles.

Garaged since, largely disassembled roller.

Some restoration; trunk area sandblasted and painted with zinc-rich primer. Rebuilt Zenith carbs. Amateur fiberglass repair of rear fender lip; aftermarket steel inner & outer rear fender skins await, with NOS front fenders and driver's door.

Blue Skai interior, good condition. crack-free dash (at least it was), stored in car since purchase.
